WEEK 7 (CANVA)


 1. Describe how you developed your Canva activity. What stage have you reached this week on the Canva activity? What parts of Canva remain to be be done? 

I used simple and cute characters for each sense organ. A nose character for the nose, another figure for the ear, another drawing for the hands, etc. Each of these characters was placed in a way that explained how that sense works.

 For example, with a text that said, "I hear sounds with my ears," my figure representing the eyes was watching something. I wrote short and simple explanations about each sense organ so that children could easily understand them. 

I used capital letters in the texts, so they were easier to read. Each text included a fun explanation of what that sense organ did, for example: "I discover wonderful things by smelling!" I used symbols and icons to explain the sense organs more clearly. Such as an eye symbol for seeing, a nose symbol for smelling, and an ear symbol for hearing. These symbols helped children quickly recognize and understand each sense organ.

My learning goal was to introduce preschoolers to the 5 senses and teach them the functions of each. To achieve this goal, I created a fun, visually focused content using Canva. I created the content 1.                  with colorful characters symbolizing each sense and simple, fun text. Using Canva’s animation features, I supported each sense with animated elements to attract children’s attention and make learning fun. The appropriateness of the content was shaped according to children’s visual and auditory learning needs. This approach allowed students to learn the 5 senses both fun and effectively.

    Your Canva activity is very creative and engaging! The use of characters for each sense organ makes it fun and easy for children to grasp the concept. The animations and simple texts are perfect for keeping their attention, and the symbols help them understand the senses more clearly. You've done a great job tailoring the content to young learners' needs, making this an effective and enjoyable way to teach them about the five senses! It would be better if you also add the answers to the prompts.

    WEEK 10 (SURVEY)   • Describe how you developed Survey activity? How did you decide questions/statements? When preparing a survey about sensory organs in preschool, I took care to use questions that were appropriate for the children's age level, understandable, and concrete. I explained the functions of each sensory organ in a way that children could easily understand, making connections to daily life. When determining the questions, I based them on concrete experiences that children might encounter in their daily lives.  For example, which of our senses do we use to smell a beautiful flower? I also took care to use simple and understandable language, avoided complex expressions, and kept the questions short so that children could easily understand them. I paid attention to making the survey interactive. I supported the activity with visuals and concrete materials, so that the questions became more meaningful and children could better grasp their sensory percep...

  WEEK 11(WORDWALL)   1) Describe how you developed assessment tool (e.g. kahoot, wordwall) activity? I developed the 5 senses activity suitable for preschoolers with interactive assessment tools  Wordwall. 1) Visuals and Sounds: I used colorful visuals and voice prompts related to senses to help students better understand the topic. 2) Various Question Types: I attracted students' attention with different question types such as multiple choice, true/false, and matching. 3) Short and Fun: I made the activity fun by keeping the questions short and increasing students' interest with rewards. 4) Feedback: I supported students' learning process by giving correct answers. In this way, I made the subject of the 5 senses both educational and entertaining.
