WEEK 11(WORDWALL)
1)Describe how you developed assessment tool (e.g. kahoot, wordwall) activity?
I developed the 5 senses activity suitable for preschoolers with interactive assessment tools Wordwall.
1) Visuals and Sounds: I used colorful visuals and voice prompts related to senses to help students better understand the topic.
2) Various Question Types: I attracted students' attention with different question types such as multiple choice, true/false, and matching.
3) Short and Fun: I made the activity fun by keeping the questions short and increasing students' interest with rewards.
4) Feedback: I supported students' learning process by giving correct answers.
In this way, I made the subject of the 5 senses both educational and entertaining. I designed the activity in a way that is suitable for the preschool period by actively, interactively and visibly improving the learning processes of the students.
2) How did you decide statements/questions?
I determined the questions and statements as follows; my topic was the 5 senses and I prepared questions related to this topic. For example, with which sense do we taste a nice strawberry...? While preparing these questions, I added visuals to the answers and questions so that children can think and make decisions faster and support their visual intelligence. I chose questions that are appropriate for the topic and integrated the 5 senses into all questions. I used simple and clear language that children can understand. I made the questions short, clear and understandable so that children can answer without confusing them. I asked the questions in an encouraging way so that children can explore and think about their senses. For example, “Which sense do we use to taste ice cream?”
3)Describe how you integrated content knowledge into the lesson plan through assessment tool?
I focused on integrating content knowledge into the lesson plan using an assessment tool such as Wordwall, while also ensuring that students understand the five senses. I tested the basic functions and relationships of each sense by preparing questions that were consistent with the learning objectives. For example, questions such as, “Which sense do we use to see a rainbow?” or “Which sense do we use to taste food?” helped students identify the senses and remember this information.
I also used pictures and sounds to introduce each sense, considering that children learn better with visual and auditory elements. For example, I added a picture of an eye to describe the sense of sight, and music or animal sounds for hearing. I connected the questions with examples from everyday life, allowing children to relate their senses to real life. Questions such as, “Which sense do we use to smell a flower?” helped students understand how they use their senses in their daily lives.
4)Write at least 5 prompt examples with interaction/feedback from ChatGPT that you used in your conversations with ChatGPT specifically related to survey activity.
1.Prompt:
I asked: “Can you create a question about the sense of sight and let’s use a picture of an eye?”
ChatGPT Answer:
“Sure! Here’s a question: ‘Which sense do we use to see this eye? Sight, hearing, touch, taste, or smell?’ This simple multiple choice question helps the child understand the sense of sight.”
2.Prompt:
I asked: “Can you create a question about the sense of hearing and let’s use an animal sound?”
ChatGPT Answer:
“Yes, the question could be: ‘Which sense do we use to hear the source of this sound? A) Hearing B) Sight C) Taste D) Touch’ In this way, you can create an interactive question that emphasizes the sense of hearing.”
3.Prompt:
I asked: “Can you prepare a question about the sense of smell? Let's add a flower scent.”
ChatGPT's Answer:
“Here is a question: 'Which sense do we use to smell flowers? A) Smell B) Taste C) See D) Hearing' This question helps children gain awareness about the sense of smell.”
4.Prompt:
I asked: “Can you prepare a question about the sense of taste? Let the children see the picture of a strawberry.”
ChatGPT’s Answer:
“You can create a question like this: ‘Which sense do we use to taste ice cream? A) Taste B) Hearing C) Sight D) Smell.’ This way, you can explain to the children how the sense of taste works.”
5.Prompt:
I asked: “Can you prepare a question about the sense of touch? Let’s add a picture of fire.
ChatGPT’s Answer:
“Here’s a question: Which sense do we use to feel the heat of a fire? A) Touch B) Taste C) Smell D) Sight' This question helps them recognize the sense of touch.”
Great job on designing the 5 senses activity! Your use of interactive elements, visuals, and various question types effectively engages preschoolers. I'm sure the children will love this! :)
