5th week what I learned?

WEEK 5

WHAT I LEARNED?

First, I thought about the purpose of content sharing by setting up a blog page. The primary purpose of content production was to interact with readers and share information. In this way, I realized that I could express myself by writing articles on topics that interested me. I learned that I needed to keep my blog posts updated regularly. Adding new content is an important factor in attracting my readers and establishing a continuous connection with them.

One of the biggest challenges I faced in the blogging process was that regular content production was time-consuming. It was challenging for me to make evaluations and write prompts on every topic and information we covered in the course.

Coursera is an online education platform and offers students courses in various fields by collaborating with universities around the world. These courses are usually in different subjects such as technology, business, art, health. We, the students, can follow the courses at our own pace, which provides a flexible learning experience.

Also, all the courses and lessons were very intensive and we worked regularly to complete the courses. In conclusion, Coursera offers an excellent opportunity for personal and professional development, but students need to manage their time well and actively participate in order to be successful.

I interact with ChatGPT frequently when preparing my lesson plan.
First, I get suggestions from it to determine the objectives of the lesson. In other words, while clarifying what I want students to learn from this lesson, I sometimes get help from ChatGPT for different ideas and approaches. Then, I turn to it again to design activities that fit the content of the lesson. For example, it suggests fun and educational activities for students. Since the timing of the activities is also important, I also get suggestions on how much time
I should allocate to each activity. In the assessment part, when I think about how I will test the students, it gives ideas about different options such as exam questions, quizzes or projects. It also suggests materials and resources that are suitable for different learning styles so that the lesson is understandable for everyone.
I also get ideas from ChatGPT when I need to prepare survey questions to get feedback from students after the lesson. In this way, I can see what worked and what I could have done better after each lesson.
As a result, by interacting with ChatGPT, I make my lesson plan more efficient and effective

Here are 5 examples of prompts I’ve used with ChatGPT:

Prompt: “Can you suggest learning objectives for this course?”

Prompt: “Can you design activities that will increase student engagement?”

Prompt: “What approach should I take to create a test question on this topic?”

Propmt: “What types of assessments should students take at the end of this course?”

Propmt: “In what order should I do the course activities and how much time should I spend on each?”

During this process, my communication with ChatGPT was generally interactive and goal-oriented. While creating my lesson plan, I asked questions to clarify certain issues. For example, I guided ChatGPT with questions such as “What  should be the learning objectives of this lesson?” and received the suggestions I needed. I also asked open-ended questions to exchange ideas about activities or assessment methods that would increase student participation.
I obtained different options and creative ideas with questions such as “How can I increase student participation?” I requested structured answers to organize the flow of the lesson; for example, I received help from ChatGPT with questions such as “In what order should I do the activities in the lesson?” so that the activities were carried out in a logical order.
